Fresh off a packed summer run that left club rooms sweaty and fans singing along to every word, singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jake Minch is heading back out this fall for another round of headline dates. The 17-show North American trek kicks off November 4 in Austin, TX, and winds through the Midwest and East Coast before wrapping November 25 in Hamden, CT.
It’s been a breakout year for Minch. His debut full length album, George, is out now via 2for2 projects/Mercury Records, and it has been quietly turning into one of 2025’s most praised indie debuts. NPR Music, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, Ones to Watch, and more have all lined up behind the record’s mix of smart hooks and cutting self reflection. Holler called it “like a Great American novel cut down to three minute pop songs,” while Atwood Magazine praised its fearless writing on grief, young love, and what it means to go home again.
Recorded between Los Angeles and Connecticut with producer Tony Berg (Taylor Swift, boygenius) and guitarist Mason Stoops (Lizzy McAlpine, Role Model), George captures what Minch himself describes as “being a martyr with nothing to die for and needing to mess up some great things to learn something.” The songs are tender and bruised, but they swing hard enough for singalongs; standout singles “Fingers and Clothes” and “Drawing a Tattoo” landed early critical love and thousands of new listeners.
Live, Minch has proven he’s more than a studio poet, this summer he sold-out rooms like Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn and Los Angeles’ Moroccan Lounge, and invited surprise friends like Lizzy McAlpine, Grace Enger, and Alix Page onstage. Expect the same raw, funny, emotional energy when the tour hits your city this fall.
