Rock band from Connecticut, Goose, released a pro-shot video as an encore to the first night of their two-night holiday celebration, Goosemas XII. The sold-out event was held at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. The encore video includes an earnest performance of their original song Jed Stone,” as well as a rich rendition of Gregory Alan Isakov’s song “Master & A Hound,” and well a gripping cover of Neil Young’s “Sugar Mountain.”

Goosemas XII, which was themed Barnaby Glimpse’s Show Upon Time: A Phantom Menagerie, was a performance of narrative and music with a riveting production that shifted viewers into an 18th-century charmed-filled world. The two-night celebration witnessed the band perform deep cuts, artistic cover debuts, a slew of special guests – including Gregory Alan Isakov – along with themed visuals and puppetry that brought the expedition to life. All throughout the weekend, Goose interspersed bold covers of Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Shouting Matches, The Band, and David Byrne and Brian Eno, throughout an intentionally curated setlist teeming with original arrangements.

The pro-shot video, released on December 19, captures the moving arc Goose created on Night One. After a dynamic second set, the band made a daring shift into three adjoining ballads. A spectacular rendition of “Jed Stone” saw the crowd singing along in powerful union, reaffirming the song’s status as a developing fan favorite. Cotter Ellis, drummer, exited the stage, leaving Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, and Trevor Weekz to ease into the warm, vivid melody of “Master & A Hound.” The chain came to an end with Mitarotonda alone under the spotlight, presenting an intimate and striking “Sugar Mountain” finale.

In response to the recent tragic shooting at Brown University, which took place less than two miles from the Goosemas venue on the evening of Night 2, Goose has launched an ongoing auction fundraiser to provide support to students and families who have been affected by the tragedy. The auction features items from Goosemas and exclusive memorabilia and will benefit the Brown University Student Emergency Fund. It is live through Sunday, December 21, at 6 p.m. EST.
