Kids In Glass Houses celebrate 15 years of “Dirt” at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire

Thursday, December 18, 2025, London – Kids In Glasshouses made their comeback at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, which has been 15 years in the making, as they first performed at this venue back in 2010 on their Dirt Tour Part II.

Their album Dirt marked the beginning of a new era for the band, solidifying their sound and transforming the potential of Smart Casual (2008) into a breakout release that made them one to watch on the U.K. rock scene. With Jason Perry being in the production driver’s seat, Dirt saw the band experiment with more pop elements within their sound, attracting the attention of radio stations like Radio 1 and publications such as Kerrang! and the NME.

The show was kicked off by high-energy heavy rockers Dead Pony with their mosh pit-inducing tracks. Led by lead singer Anna Shields, the four-piece is truly a powerhouse, merging mind-melting melodies and punchy lyrics. As the support on this five-stop tour, they truly filled their set time with passion and intensity, setting a strong path for the rest of the evening.

Kids in Glass Houses instantly made themselves at home on the stage with their vibrant spirit. Frontman Aled Phillips kept the pace for an engaging performance from start to finish, creating highlights by interacting with the crowd as well as photographers in the pit, and through his electrifying dancing, which anchored him as a natural performer. There was a euphoric atmosphere as a crowd of strangers was brought together by the band’s catchy lyrics and guitar riffs that hooked you in. Mixed in with the liveliness were gentle moments of raw emotion when “The Morning Afterlife” was played, with torches being raised, making the crowd feel connected to the group.

The night was a perfect rendition of taking a walk down memory lane, both for the band as well as their dedicated fanbase. The historic theatre was filled with some of their most iconic hits like “Matters at All” and “The Best Is yet to Come” as the crowd sang along, creating a memorable moment for the Welsh five-piece.
