On December 17, 2025, Arkells released their new single, “Money,” featuring Portugal. The Man, via Universal Music Canada and Virgin Music Group. The feel-good, synth-infused track, combined with vocals from John Gourley of Portugal. The Man, is a strong addition to the alternative landscape. Nine-time JUNO Award winners, Arkells also holds the record for most wins in the “Group of the Year” category, making them one of Canada’s most decorated bands.

Arkells, a Canadian rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 2006 and has released nine studio albums. They continue to top charts and receive regular airplay on radio stations.

With the new single off their upcoming album, “Money” explores the complicated relationship we all have with money. Lead singer Max Kerman describes the lyrics as “the pull of money is hard to escape. It’s tangled up in vanity, competition, ego, and dreams of the future—but it’s a godless place to live.”

Arkells has continued to evolve as artists while still making everyone feel at home. Catch them on tour next year and expect a new album in 2026.
