GRAMMY-NOMINATED ARTIST ILLENIUM UNVEILS NEW SINGLE “WAR” WITH LØ SPIRIT

GRAMMY-nominated electronic artist ILLENIUM has recently released his newest single, “War,” a high-impact fan track featuring rising alternative singer-songwriter Lø Spirit, out via Republic Records. This release continues the final reveal of special guests for ILLENIUM Presents ODYSSEY at the Sphere in Las Vegas shows in March and April 2026, with Alok, Dab The Sky, Wooli, Levity, Audien, Ray Volpe, SLANDER, DJ Diesel, and Tape B.

“War” embodies a release and forward motion that blends indie rock, alt-pop, and raw emotional lyricism into a sound that is both vulnerable and defiantly bold. The track delivers percussion, dynamic tension, and cinematic urgency, fusing intensity with atmosphere in a way that further defines ILLENIUM’s versatility as a producer and songwriter.

The track first sparked fan attention when ILLENIUM debuted it over Thanksgiving weekend at Apocalypse Festival in Long Beach, California, where early clips quickly went viral online. The single follows a wave of major press support for the artist in recent weeks, including coverage from Billboard, Rolling Stone, Alternative Press, Dancing Astronaut, EDM.com, EDM Identity, and more.

So excited to have my new single ‘War’ with Lø Spirit out now. This one was an instant favorite since the rock edge is something I’ve always loved. It brings a darker, heavier energy that contrasts my other singles and adds a new dimension to the story of Odyssey,” -ILLENIUM.

The release of “War” lands on the heels of ILLENIUM’s massive radio moment last week, as his single “Forever” achieved No. 1 on both Mediabase Dance and the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay charts. Up next, ILLENIUM will release his highly anticipated album ODYSSEY on February 6, 2026, a body of work that ushers in a new era of emotional storytelling, maximalist production, and expansive sonic world-building, followed by his nine-night run of ODYSSEY shows at the Sphere on March 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14, and April 2, 3, and 4. These shows mark the only opportunity for fans to experience ODYSSEY live.

Super grateful to be a part of such a raw song. Being asked to sing this song with ILLENIUM was perfect timing for me. ‘War’ ironically ran parallel with a lot of the chaos I was met with this year. Couldn’t be more excited to make something so visceral with one of the greats in the electronic space,” -Lø Spirit.

The Sphere’s immersive technologies include the world’s highest-resolution LED display that wraps up, over, and around the audience, and the world’s most advanced concert-grade audio system, Sphere Immersive Sound. The Sphere forms the jewel box for the multi-sensory experience of ODYSSEY, ILLENIUM’s most ambitious project to date. The nine-show series will feature a different special guest each night, including Alok, Dab The Sky (the collaboration between Dabin & Said The Sky), Wooli, Levity, Audien, Ray Volpe, SLANDER, DJ Diesel, and Tape B.

One of the most influential forces in modern electronic music, ILLENIUM has garnered over 8 billion global streams, a GRAMMY nomination for Fallen Embers, and a catalog that includes the platinum-certified “Takeaway” with The Chainsmokers and Lennon Stella, “Good Things Fall Apart” with Jon Bellion, “Crawl Outta Love,” “Hearts on Fire,” and “Nightlight.” Across his four studio albums, from Ashes to Awake to Ascend to ILLENIUM, he has reinvented a generation of melodic bass and electronic records while headlining iconic stages including Coachella, Lollapalooza, EDC, Ultra, and Madison Square Garden.

On June 29, 2012, Nick Miller (ILLENIUM) woke up in a hospital bed; the prior day, he had overdosed on heroin following a 10-day drug binge. He saw the sadness in his mother’s eyes. He had been doing so well prior to those ten days, having been sober for 15 months following a rehab stay. He was only 21 years old, and if it weren’t for a dose of Naloxone, I would not be writing this (credit: Billboard). Fast forward to today, his 35th birthday, and he is sober—an absolute legend in the electronic/EDM dance scene.

Not just a GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum artist, producer, and songwriter, ILLENIUM has constructed a living, breathing, and ever-expanding world. Based in Denver, he initially introduced himself back in 2013. With a boundary-breaking sound, he has notched three consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, beginning with the Gold-certified Ascend (2019), which includes the release dedicated to that moment in late June 2012, “Take You Down,” followed by Fallen Embers (2021) and Il (2023). Fallen Embers received a GRAMMY® nomination in the category of “Best Dance/Electronic Music Album” and took home “Top Dance/Electronic Music Album” at the Billboard Music Awards. Having established himself as a chameleonic presence collaborating with musicians across genres—including Teddy Swims, JVKE, iann dior, Spiritbox, Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker, and Avril Lavigne—he continues to push boundaries. In 2021, he became “the first electronic dance music artist to headline a football stadium” when he took over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Two years later, he led “the largest non-festival dance music concert in North America ever” at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. Finally, 2024 saw him pack two nights at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

I was trapped in it, had no passion, no direction, and truly hated myself… I’m just sharing my story and relating because music saved my life too.” -ILLENIUM (Billboard)

Lø suffers from OCD, PTSD, MCAS, and anxiety, and writes not to escape the darkness but to meet it head-on—and to make sure no one facing theirs has to feel alone. The honesty in his music has carried him across a sold-out debut U.S. headline tour, festival stages at Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville, and on the road with The Struts. Additionally, his achievements extend to hitting No. 1 as a writer and producer for artists like Papa Roach and The Funeral Portrait.

The sonic outlet of songwriter and producer Joshua Landry (Lø Spirit) turns internal battles into something vast, visceral, and deeply human. Beginning in 2022, he produced songs written in the dark corners of recovery and self-reckoning and has grown into a community that sees themselves in his words. Prior to releasing his own work, Lø Spirit captured hearts online as SadSongsOnly. The project reinterpreted artists like My Chemical Romance and Highly Suspect with a rawness that stopped people mid-scroll. When he shifted to originals, with releases like Mind of Mine” and “Good Enough,” it became clear he was living it and translating it. With his newest single, “Aløne,” and more music on the way, he is carving out a space in alt-rock that’s both cinematic and intimate. Lø Spirit is unafraid to feel deeply, speak plainly, and build a world where pain becomes connection.
