Nashville-based band BLANK ERA just released their brand-new single, “Yesterdaze,” alongside an official music video. When you look at the song title, it can automatically make the listener assume it is metaphoric in a way. “Yesterdaze” brings to mind someone who is stuck in the past, with a fogged-up mindset and an inability to live in the present.

Yesterdaze” is a bold statement that hits you like a brick, as Jaycee’s vocals are filled with momentum and emotional depth, expressing how a person can be haunted by replaying past decisions that prevented them from moving forward in life. There’s a sense of being stuck in a constant loop of regret, but through the dynamic trio of vocals, guitar and drums, the song unleashes both the anger of holding yourself back and a sense of empowerment at the same time. “Yesterdaze” feels like a song people need to hear in the new year, as it highlights how strong a grip the past can have — and may even encourage listeners to embrace a new beginning.

For me, the song is really about acceptance, momentum and giving yourself permission to move forward. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to live in the past. You take what it taught you, learn from it, and keep going. ‘YESTERDAZE’ explores the rarely talked about panic that sets in when you choose to walk away from people, situations, or versions of yourself that were keeping you stuck. We wanted to capture that mental spiral of regret, “what ifs”, and the fear of wondering if moving on was the right decision. We spent all of 2025 in the studio so, you can expect tons of new music coming in the new year! On top of that, I’m dying to get out on the road so the goal is to finally introduce the BLANK ERA live show to as many cities as possible” – Jaycee Clark (Vocals)
