On December 15, 2025, Progstorm Festival announced their second headliner, Cynic, who will be performing on August 21 at Club Soda in Montreal. This is Canada’s first festival dedicated to progressive metal and the diversity that comes with the genre. If you are open-minded and interested in learning about a new genre and exploring how diverse it is, I highly recommend supporting this festival. Having Cynic headline the first day of the festival is huge for the genre, as the band is considered one of the foundational acts that helped shape it.
