In 2025, Deep Tropics was seen as one of the greenest music festivals in the United States. A cornerstone of the Tennessee electronic music scene, Deep Tropics is back, this time launching Deep Tropics Equinox at Bicentennial Park Amphitheater, Nashville, Tennessee, on March 20 and 21.

With a lineup including the likes of It’s Murph, Claude Van Stroke, Of The Trees, Barclay Crenshaw, and others, such as a special four-hour after-party set by Green Velvet, Deep Tropics Equinox is certainly going to bring the dancing spirit mixed with an environmentally friendly and positive atmosphere. I know for a fact I am excited to see what comes out of this Green Velvet set. He always knows how to bring the boogie from start to finish, and his longer sets tend to really showcase his act through impeccable song selection and time management while behind the decks.

The most intriguing part of the festival is its ability to party while remaining environmentally conscious and positive. In 2025, it achieved an 88% waste-diversion rate, preventing around 12,000 pounds of waste from entering landfills. This effort by the team truly stands out and should earn loyal fans, especially as many U.S. festivals have leaned more heavily into corporate practices to generate quick profits. Too often, environmental care and conservation are pushed aside to ensure revenue. Itβs extremely refreshing β and motivating β to see a festival take the time and invest the money to not only improve the community but also leave the event space better than it was found, a concept Deep Tropics is no stranger to. Deep Tropics Equinox, you have my stamp of approval for 2026.
