Hilary Duff unveils new track “Roommates” ahead of upcoming album

Hilary Duff has shared her newest single, “Roommates,” offering a second preview of her upcoming full length album, luck… or something, which is set to be released via Atlantic Records on February 20. The track is available now across all major streaming platforms, with album pre-orders and pre-saves accessible here. “Roommates” also arrives with an official music video directed by Matty Peacock, which can be viewed here.

The inspiration behind “Roommates”

“Roommates is a song about when life is life-ing, babe,” says Hilary. “It’s that ache for a wilder, freer time – before the days were swallowed by carpools, budget talks, grocery runs and letting old or new insecurities slip in. It’s the restless hum of wanting to find your way back – to your rhythm, to your person, to yourself.”

Duff’s new album also features the lead single “Mature,” now streaming everywhere. Inspired by her early adventures with love and relationships, the playful pop track shows off Duff’s authenticity. “Mature” comes with a vibrant music video and a short behind-the-scenes video.

Starting January 19, Hilary will return to the stage for the “Small Rooms, Big Nerves” tour, marking her first headlining tour since 2008. These highly anticipated shows, which sold out within moments of going on sale, will take place in intimate, small-scale venues, beginning at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire before making stops in Toronto, New York City, and Los Angeles.
