Djo, actor/producer/songwriter Joe Keery’s musical project, scores a second consecutive week at the top of the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart with his song “End of Beginning.” His single, which was released in 2022 on his sophomore album DECIDE, previously placed at No. 4 on the charts in 2024 before claiming the top spot last week for the first time. It has also earned double-platinum status in the U.K. and has surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify.

This news was also followed by the reveal that “End of Beginning” has landed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Global 200 chart, and No. 6 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Basic Being Basic” and “Delete Ya,” singles off his most recent album The Crux, have also reached peaks on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, with “Basic Being Basic” reaching No. 62 and “Delete Ya” hitting No. 72.

In 2025, Keery saw his project, Djo, reach brand new heights with the release of The Crux, his third album in April, and its accompanying record, The Crux Deluxe, in September. Receiving global acclaim from critics, BBC Radio 1 playlisting, and his first No. 1 at Alt Radio in the United States, Djo also made his festival debuts at Glastonbury and Coachella, sold out a massive international tour, including three nights at both the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the O2 Forum in London.

Unlike Keery’s previous releases – recorded in his bedroom and centered around synths – The Crux and The Crux Deluxe highlight rich guitars and instrumentation evocative of pop from the late ’60s and ’70s. These albums are full of loss and yearning, as well as wittiness and appreciation. These songs were written around the world during a period of Keery’s life when he was facing the impermanence of his other job and feeling distanced from his friends and family. To finish off and complete these albums, he ironed them out in Jimi Hendrix’s legendary Electric Lady Studios located in New York City, Keery’s new home base. The Crux and The Crux Deluxe not only showcase his aspiring range, but also highlight his skills as a dexterous multi-instrumentalist and songwriter—every song on these albums was written by Keery or in collaboration with Adam Thein.

The Crux and The Crux Deluxe are both out now on AWAL, and fans can purchase them now at https://www.djomusic.com/.
