In the land of jazz and blues comes a band, Exhorder, a thrash metal band since 1986, entering 2026 with a new, fresh outlook. “The Unforeseen Circumstances Tour” starts on January 29 in their home state of Louisiana, with Kyle Thomas, the original vocalist and guitarist, leading the band into a new era. Along with Exhorder on this journey will be veteran Luicidal, Ringworm, Phobia, and Slowhole, opening the show.
I got the opportunity last summer to experience the power and energy of this band at a small club on the other side of El Paso. They had recently released their fourth album, Defectum Omnium, which translates into “the failure of all.” The album features songs like “The Tales of Unsound Minds,” “Sedition,” and “Year of the Goat.” As usual, “The Unforeseen Circumstance Tour” will perform many of their songs from all four of their albums, tying all their music together for a high-energy, killer riffs, and mind-numbing sound to make even the older thrash metal fans jump in the circle of the mosh pit.
