Charlie Puth returns with “Beat Yourself Up,” his brand-new single out today, offering fans another deeply personal glimpse into his forthcoming studio album, Whatever’s Clever!, arriving March 27, 2026, via Atlantic Records.
The single is available to listen to now, with Whatever’s Clever! available for pre-order, add, and save across platforms.

“‘Beat Yourself Up’ started as something I wanted to tell a friend,” Puth shares. “We’ve never been the heart-to-heart types, so I wrote it in a song instead. I wanted to tell him that even though he has made mistakes along the way, he shouldn’t be so hard on himself. That things will get better, and he’s not alone.”
As the song took shape, Puth realized its message extended far beyond one person. “While writing it, I soon realized this wasn’t just for my friend but myself and so many others who can be hard on themselves. It’s a message to keep going and be kinder to yourself.”
Co-produced by Charlie Puth and BLOODPOP, “Beat Yourself Up” continues to define what is shaping up to be Puth’s most introspective and exploratory era yet.
Alongside the single release, Puth has announced his biggest world tour to date: the “2026 Whatever’s Clever! World Tour,” spanning North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

The tour kicks off April 22 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, with Puth and his A+ band performing hits old and new across 34 North American dates before heading overseas this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
