TWICE’s electric beginning to a two-night residency at Oakland Arena

K-pop girl group TWICE kicked off their two-night residency by rocking out Oakland Arena. Oakland was the third stop on their “This Is For World Tour Part 2,” after stops at Vancouver, Canada, and Seattle, Washington. This world tour featured a 360-degree stage design, unique among the group’s previous tours.

TWICE began their energetic set with “Four” off their album THIS IS FOR. It was evident they didn’t hold back with the stage design and production of this tour, as the set up included three different stages, light panels that were similar to a Jumbotron at a basketball game, and nine platform tiles in the center of the main stage that created a new elevated design for each song. After a couple of songs, the supporting dancers took the stage to perform alongside the girl group. The crowd felt the synergy between all the performers on stage, creating an unforgettable experience. TWICE went through multiple outfit changes throughout their performance, each matching the vibe of the songs being performed. Towards the end of their performance, they had a dance-off cam during their final outfit change. Fans danced their hearts out as they were projected on the main screen. The group made their final appearance on stage, finishing off their performance with “SCIENTIST,” “Likey,” and a fan favorite, “Feel Special.” TWICE thanked the supporting dancers, everyone for coming, and said their goodbyes to all the fans.
