Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter and global superstar Louis Tomlinson released his third studio album, How Did I Get Here? on Friday. Fans can stream the album worldwide here.

For this third release, Louis has pushed himself further than ever as a songwriter, lyricist, and performer. The initial ideas for the album started in the English countryside before the creative process moved to Santa Teresa in Costa Rica, where Louis spent three weeks at the beginning of 2025 completing the writing and recording process alongside his primary collaborator and co-producer, Nico Rebscher.
“I sum it up as ‘the record I always deserved to make,’” he says. “My bread and butter is the honesty. I genuinely wear my heart on my sleeve, and I hope it comes through in the music. I’m still learning and getting better as a singer and a songwriter. I find it impossible to be complacent; it’s not in my vocabulary. For the first time now, I’m allowing myself to be the artist I’d always hoped to be.”
The album features fan favourites, including the emotional “Dark to Light,” which Louis describes as “important,” alongside tracks such as “Sunflowers” and “Lucid.”

Reflecting on the journey behind the album, Louis adds, “Taking all of the steps I did to get here was important. I needed the confidence to become the artist I wanted to be and make a hopefully big, but personal album. I think I did.”
The fan response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many fans calling it his strongest body of work to date and their favourite album. The album offers a wide range of sounds and emotions, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Louis will take How Did I Get Here? on the road with an arena tour later this year, kicking off in Europe in March before taking it to North America in June. Tickets on sale now.
