Don Toliver releases fifth studio album OCTANE

Don Toliver

Don Toliver is back with his fifth studio album, OCTANE, out now via Cactus Jack/Donnway & Co/Atlantic Records. Executive produced by Toliver himself, the album shows him fully in his bag and moving with confidence. Known for his melodic trap and psychedelic R&B sound, Don delivers a project that feels immersive and high energy, built on cinematic production and unexpected samples alongside longtime collaborator Derek “206DEREK” Anderson. Fans can also grab OCTANE on vinyl and through exclusive merch box sets.

OCTANE is a big creative moment for Toliver, as he steps up to produce three tracks on his own, “ATM,” “Rendezvous,” and “Call Back.” The album also includes fan favorites “Tiramisu,” “E85,” and “Long Way To Calabasas,” which he recently performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” The visuals match the energy of the music, with “ATM,” directed by Maxime Quoilin, and “Call Back,” directed by Shadrinsky, helping bring the world of OCTANE to life.

The album was recorded while Toliver was on tour in Europe as well as in California across Los Angeles, Carmel by the Sea, and Mount Wilson, pulling heavy inspiration from car culture and rally racing. Themes of movement, freedom, and nonstop motion run through the project. To kick things off, Don hosted “OCTANE Mountain,” a live-streamed listening experience filmed at the historic Mount Wilson Observatory, following an exclusive in-person event at the Porsche Experience Center. With OCTANE, Don Toliver invites listeners to hit the gas and ride with him.
