Frozen Soul, a band hailing from the great state of Texas, has been up-and-coming within the hardcore, death metal community for the last few years. They have hit the world with their instant classics such as “Arsenal of War” and “Crypt of Ice,” songs that have captured the hearts of metalheads all over the world. Their most recent show in Texas came as direct support for Cattle Decapitation‘s 2025 world tour, playing at the iconic Vibes Event Center in San Antonio.

As a lover of metal music, speaking on myself and the community, no distance is far too great to travel for music such as this. Tours like this may skip Austin at times, but San Antonio is a short drive away and is very well worth the mileage to see such a tour package. Frozen Soul opened their set with a brand new song titled “Skinned by The Wind” from their upcoming new record. A song that immediately made everyone duck as human bodies came flying in every direction.
Every single one of their songs has character, heart, and deep, meaningful lyrics. Their song “Arsenal of War” is one of their most meaningful songs, written in dedication and in memoriam to vocalist Chad Green’s younger brother, Corey, who passed away. Frozen Soul is a band for all to rejoice together, with Chad always stating to DM him personally if anyone is going through a rough time in their lives.
