Listen & Watch “Heaven”, Pre-Order Ambiguous Desire HERE
Arlo Parks has released her latest single, “Heaven,” offering another glimpse into her forthcoming album Ambiguous Desire, due April 3 via Transgressive Records. The track arrives alongside a new video, marking the second preview of the record following the previously released single “2SIDED.” Premiered with a Zane Lowe interview, “Heaven” finds the two-time GRAMMY nominee stepping into a new soundscape, embracing a driving techno bassline and club-focused production inspired by late-night dance floors and underground rave culture.
A noticeable shift from her earlier indie-folk leanings, “Heaven” channels the pulse of electronic music, drawing influence from nights spent immersed in New York and Los Angeles club scenes. Built around pulsing drum patterns and euphoric energy, the song captures the feeling of losing yourself in a room full of strangers, getting suspended in rhythm and connection, as well as collective release. The single reflects the broader spirit of Ambiguous Desire, a project shaped by Parks’ exploration of dance music, modular synths, and more experimental production while maintaining the poetic lyricism that has defined her career.
Created in collaboration with producer Baird, Ambiguous Desire explores themes of longing, freedom, and self-discovery. To celebrate the album’s release, Parks will embark on a run of intimate U.K. record store performances, all of which have already sold out, offering fans the chance to experience the new material in close, personal settings.
