CELESTIAL DEATH releases new single “Death of an Empire”

Atlanta, Georgia’s very own death metal band CELESTIAL DEATH has just released a brand new single, “Death of an Empire.”

This track highlights a crucial step in the right direction for the band and further confirms their image and identity within the evolving extreme metal underground scene.

Death of an Empire has been said to be a mix of fierce tremolo-picked triplet arpeggios, relentless blast beats, and groove-driven black metal melody.

The track introduces itself with waltz-like tremolo phrasing before flaring up into quick-paced fire percussion whilst being layered with death metal riffing.

Throughout the very start and up until the end, the track travels with cinematic intensity alongside calculated antagonism, illustrating the band’s fully realized sound.

Lyrically, “Death of an Empire” delves into the deconstruction of powerful systems through the eyes of a lone survivor traversing through the ruins of a devastated city.

The visuals are bold and hostile, focusing on urban decay, destruction of the environment, and the consequences of uncontrolled power. Opening lines such as “The ruins of this city speak to me, in a language only I can understand,” really paint an image for a narrative-infused post-apocalyptic reflection.
