A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is back with “Before Artistry,” an EP that feels less like a random drop and more like a checkpoint. Ten years into the game, the heavyweight is reflecting without slowing down, using this project as a bridge between what built him and what comes next.
Released via Highbridge, “Before Artistry” includes collaborations with Kyle Richh, Trippie Redd, and Zeddy Will. The project moves between melodic confession and slick, club-ready energy, which has always been Boogie’s lane. Tracks like “Glitchin” and “Show Me Something Real” lean into that polished vulnerability he built his brand on, while “PGD” and “Red Light” feel built for speakers, not headphones.
Boogie described the EP as a celebration of the journey so far and a thank you to fans who have been with him since the early days. That sentiment tracks. Over the past decade, he has stacked numbers that most artists never touch. “Look Back At It” is now 7x Platinum, “Jungle” and “Still Think About It” have both reached 5x Platinum, and multiple records have continued climbing through new RIAA certifications. That kind of longevity does not happen by accident.
The timing of “Before Artistry” is not subtle. The EP arrives as Boogie celebrates his sold-out hometown Boogie Bash at Radio City Music Hall, a milestone show that sold out in under 10 minutes and marks his first-ever livestream concert. A decade ago, that kind of headline moment would have felt aspirational; now it feels expected.
Upcoming live dates include arena stops in Syracuse, University Park, Omaha, and a festival appearance at Rhythm & Waves in Portimão, Portugal, this June. If “Before Artistry” is truly just a preview of a larger album rollout, it is a calculated one. It keeps his momentum intact while reminding people exactly why he has stayed relevant for 10 straight years.
