Last week, the U.K. indie pop duo Good Neighbours released Blue Sky Mentality (Complete Edition), the extended version of their well-received debut album Blue Sky Mentality, originally released last October. This is no small deluxe version, as the expanded release features 11 additional tracks, along with brand-new artwork and new visuals for each previously unreleased song.
The extended version includes a mix of covers, ranging from Gracie Abrams’ hit “That’s So True,” to Sabrina Carpenter’s iconic “Espresso,” to Bon Iver’s “Hey, Ma.” The duo fully reimagined these songs within their own sonic universe. The release also includes new versions of “The Buzz,” “Ripple,” and “Home,” their most-streamed track yet with over 1 billion streams, alongside older singles.

To conclude this beautiful release, Good Neighbours added “Somebody,” which was originally only available on vinyl, but after seeing how much fans wanted it available on streaming platforms, they decided to include it in the extended version of the album.
Good Neigbours shared, “We had a crazy year last year playing 130 shows and writing and recording our first album. Along the way, we realized there were so many songs and versions we loved that were never going to see the light of day, so we wanted to give our fans everything on the hard drive while we get to work on album two.”

This expanded version marks a definitive close to an era that brought immense success for the duo. Oli Fox and Scott Verrill formed Good Neighbours in late 2023, and today they already count billions of streams and millions of listeners. They toured all over the world, with highlights including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Osheaga, Outside Lands, Rock en Seine, and more.
