American heavy metal legends CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will release their long-awaited new double album, Good God / Baad Man, on April 3 via Nuclear Blast! Their last album came out in 2018, so this release has been highly anticipated for several years. Last year, I had the opportunity to capture photos at two of their shows for The Concert Chronicles. Vocalist Pepper Keenan announced that 2026 would bring a new album — and here it is. The wait is over.
The events that inspired the creation of this new album came from tragedy and change within the band. In 2020, bandmate Reed Mullins passed away, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mike Dean left the group. This left Pepper Keenan and Woody Weatherman questioning what the future would hold. Their response? They met at Keenan’s house and immersed themselves in the music of their heroes — from Discharge and ZZ Top to Motörhead, Neil Young, and Black Sabbath. These legends of rock and roll reignited their creativity and became the foundation for a double album.
The result is Good God / Baad Man, a project that gives listeners a clear sense of its two halves: Good God leans into the heavier, more aggressive side, while Baad Man embraces a raw, throwdown rock energy. As the creative process unfolded, the songs naturally fell into their respective albums. To bring this ambitious project to life, Keenan and Weatherman enlisted drummer Stanton Moore and bassist Bobby “Rock” Landgraf, solidifying a lineup that could fully realize the vision.
Nuclear Blast Records reports that the first preview of this mammoth double album comes in the form of the lead single, “Gimme Some Moore.” The track features backing vocals from Ministry’s Al Jourgensen and Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman. The hook — “Struggle is worth the fight / Leather, chains, and spikes” — captures the raw, rebellious energy the band was aiming for.
“Me and Woody wanted to write a song as if we were 17 years old again,” Pepper Keenan explains. “We even made a seven-inch for it.” Said seven-inch, released during their Mexico/South American tour last month, is an early ‘80s punk throwback, complete with a black and white photo collage and a fear cover on the flipside. It’s a ripper.
The music video for “Gimme Some Moore” was filmed by Mike Holderbeast and directed by Pepper Keenan himself.
To celebrate the new album Good God / Baad Man, Corrosion of Conformity will be heading out on tour starting in April with openers Whores and Crobot. Go to your favorite ticket sales site and purchase your tickets for this show coming to a city near you.
