In about five months, one of Milwaukee’s most exclusive concert festivals will be here. Over the past few months, we’ve been given the amphitheater headlines for each night, but just recently, we got the full lineup — all three weekends. Like last year, it seems that Summerfest has decided to create “genre-specific” dates. As a big fan of the pop-punk and Midwest emo scene, I am ecstatic to see that Taylor Acorn, State Champs, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Hot Mulligan will be coming near me so very soon. But alongside that, I cannot forget to shout out the local DIY scene. The lineup features some bands that are so dear to my heart, including Tiny Voices and Fluorescents, who are making their debut, but also Lake Drive will make a return to the stage.
The lineup features a plethora of artists across every genre. I definitely expect a wide range for a music festival of this capacity to cater to everyone’s taste, especially if you’re going to be named the “World’s Largest” — you’ve got to have them all.
There’s Flo Rida, The Mountain Goats, Halestorm, Jelly Roll, Koyo, and so many others. You should totally go check it out, and remember, you can get a nine-day power pass for roughly 60 bucks! Grab your admission early, because early bird deals offer the best prices to score tickets, and why wait if you already know you’re going?! Otherwise, keep on checking in for those freebie dates and promotions; those come later. But also, you can try your luck at winning tickets and passes from Summerfest itself. I tried my hand at their scavenger hunt, but ultimately came up short-handed – that’s okay! It was fun participating. There are tons of people out there hoping to snag them as well, so plan early and stick to your guns.
2026 is going to be a fabulous year for tours and festivals — it feels like almost everyone is dropping posters or little hints right now. February might be cold, but it’ll heat up quickly, just you wait! I know I can’t!
The official countdown for Summerfest 2026 started, and it’s coming to the great city of Milwaukee in just over 100 days. Get ready cause here we go!!!
