Texas metalcore band Lost In Separation announced they are officially signed with SBG Records alongside their new release “Can’t Forget.” The single captures the emotional instability of being trapped with memories that seem to consistently keep echoing in your mind. “Can’t Forget” is like being branded with grief, and it will follow you throughout your life. The single represents unresolved attachment and the internal battle between realizing someone is gone, but also learning how to deal with the memories of that person. After you lose someone important in your life, you don’t truly realize how much they impacted you until you are staring at the phone, looking through old texts or photos, and fully understanding that you will never receive a message from them again.
“Can’t Forget” can be seen as a metaphorical song because it can resemble a vine that continued to grow with love and memories, but now it fully restricts you to the past and leaves you unable to untangle yourself without destroying those memories.
“’Can’t Forget’ is about coping with the unexpected loss of a loved one and learning how to pick up the pieces and move forward. The song was written and produced with Austin Coupe (The Devil Wears Prada, Thousand Below, Papa Roach), and marks an exciting new chapter with the signing to SBG Records.” – Lost In Separation
