August Burns Red returns to Fearless Records with crushing new single “Behemoth”

August Burns Red - Behemoth

Metalcore veterans August Burns Red have returned with their massive new single Behemoth,” marking the band’s official return to Fearless Records and signaling another powerful chapter in their already legendary career.

Alongside the release of the new track, the Lancaster, Pennsylvania, band has also shared an official music video for the song. True to its name, “Behemoth” delivers crushing breakdowns, thunderous percussion, and massive sing-along moments while still showcasing the band’s ability to balance intensity with dynamic restraint.

Guitarist JB Brubaker explained that the track underwent an unusually long writing process before reaching its final form.

“‘Behemoth’ is a song that probably went through more revisions and changes than any song we’ve ever written,” Brubaker said. “While frustrating at times, the conversations and rewrites were worth the effort. We feel incredibly proud of how it turned out, and I believe it’s one of the heaviest and most raw songs we’ve ever delivered.”

Frontman Jake Luhrs added that the song’s lyrics explore confronting past pain and breaking cycles that continue to shape present decisions.

“Lyrically, ‘Behemoth’ speaks about the realization of past pains living through present actions in life,” Luhrs said. “With the determination to face this reality, a process of healing and breaking old ways leads to a rebirth.”

Formed in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, August Burns Red has spent more than two decades shaping the modern metalcore landscape. The band — Jake Luhrs, JB Brubaker, Brent Rambler, Dustin Davidson, and Matt Greiner — has amassed more than 600 million streams, multiple Billboard Top 10 album debuts, and two Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance.

To support the new release, August Burns Red will hit the road this spring for the “Spring Horizons Tour,” a co-headline run with The Amity Affliction. The tour will also feature support from Boundaries and HEAVENSGATE.
