The Last Ten Seconds of Life has released a new video and single for “Make It To Heaven,” offering another brutal preview of their upcoming full-length, The Dead Ones, due out April 17 via Metal Blade Records.
The new track features David Simonich of Signs Of The Swarm and continues the band’s current run of punishing, stripped-down deathcore. The Pennsylvania outfit recently tore through Denver supporting Left To Suffer at Marquis Theater, delivering the kind of crushing live set that has helped cement their place as one of the more relentless names in the genre.
“Make It To Heaven” leans into the band’s heaviest instincts while still keeping the songwriting tight enough to stick. Vocalist Tyler Beam said the track reflects his experience growing up in a conservative Christian environment and eventually coming to terms with the idea that no one really knows what comes after this life. Rather than surrendering to someone else’s rules, the song pushes toward living fully in the present and rejecting limits placed on you by others.

The Dead Ones marks the band’s debut for Metal Blade Records and was produced by Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland at Atrium Audio in Pennsylvania. According to guitarist Wyatt McLaughlin, the goal was to create a dense, tank-like sound, and everything from the guitar tone to the final mix was shaped around that idea. The record was tracked using a six-string baritone Viper from ESP LTD, tuned to Drop F, the same tuning the band used on their 2012 “Warpath” EP.
The album also includes guest appearances from Nate Johnson on “Rat Trap,” Alan Grnja of Distant on “Dollar To A Dime,” and original vocalist Storm Strope on “XXXXXXXXXX.” Beam said the current lineup has spent the last few years figuring out what this era of the band should sound like, aiming to keep the core identity intact while pushing the material into even heavier territory.
The band previously shared the title track from the record as an early preview of what was coming, and “Make It To Heaven” builds on that momentum with another dense, aggressive cut that lands exactly where it should.
