The Amity Affliction have unveiled a blistering new single, “Bleed,” offering another glimpse into their forthcoming album House of Cards. The track arrives alongside an intense music video and continues building momentum for what is shaping up to be a defining new chapter for the long-running metalcore outfit.
Following the emotional weight of the previously released title track “House of Cards,” the new single takes a more confrontational turn. “Bleed” channels frustration and self-reflection, tackling the disconnect between public perception and personal reality, a theme frontman Joel Birch says comes directly from the strange experience of being judged by strangers online.
“This song is a bit of a ‘fuck you’ to people online who leave comments like they know me personally,” Birch explained. “It’s a reminder to myself that I am the person I know myself to be – not the version people project onto me through social media.”
Musically, “Bleed” pushes forward with the crushing intensity fans have come to expect from The Amity Affliction while sharpening the band’s modern metalcore edge. The track further sets the tone for House of Cards, which will mark the first full-length release to feature clean vocalist Jonny Reeves.
The album represents a moment of reinvention for the band, blending the emotional honesty that built their reputation with a renewed creative direction that signals a bold new era.

The Amity Affliction will also bring the new material to fans on the road this spring as they join August Burns Red for the “Spring Horizons Tour,” with support from Boundaries and Heavensgate. The extensive North American run kicks off in April.
