Southern California alt-rock veterans Alien Ant Farm have released their new single “Reasons” via Judge & Jury Records. The track will appear on the band’s forthcoming album, scheduled for release later this fall.
The new song marks the band’s first collaboration with the Judge & Jury production team, which includes renowned rock producers Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Papa Roach), Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace, Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Aerosmith), and Joe Rickard (Breaking Benjamin, In Flames).

“Reasons” was written by Rome Ramirez, formerly of Sublime with Rome, alongside Andreas Ramirez. The collaboration brought together musicians who share deep ties to the Southern California music scene.
Frontman Dryden Mitchell says the track centers on redemption and personal growth.
“‘Reasons’ resonates with me because I love the notion that some people, if granted the opportunity of a second chance, actually make the change in themselves to be present and reliable to someone,” Mitchell explained. “This song is an ANThem to anyone who has wanted to make that change for the better.”
The single arrives during a milestone moment for the band. In 2026, Alien Ant Farm will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their breakthrough album ANThology with a special vinyl reissue.
Released in 2001, ANThology propelled the band to international success with hit songs like “Movies” and their iconic cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal,” which helped define early 2000s alternative rock and earned the album multi-platinum certification.
Formed in Riverside, California, in 1996, Alien Ant Farm – Dryden Mitchell, Terry Corso, Mike Cosgrove, and Tim Peugh – built a reputation for blending alternative rock with elements of metal, punk, pop, and progressive influences. Across multiple albums, including TruANT, Up in the Attic, Always and Forever, and 2024’s mAntras, the band has continued evolving while maintaining the energetic sound that first put them on the map.
Alongside the new single, Alien Ant Farm remain active on the road with headline shows, festival appearances, and a co-headlining tour with Cold.
