Ready to “Jump”: Coca-Cola teams up with J Balvin, Travis Barker, Amber Mark & Steve Vai for a time-traveling FIFA 2026 anthem

A global superstar like J Balvin has said yes to recording an anthem for Coca-Cola’s campaign tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026. The iconic Van Halen track JUMP,” reimagined, was released on March 6, 2026, as the official anthem for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place for the first time across three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

The song brings together a diverse musical lineup, including Travis Barker, Amber Mark, and a legendary guitarist like Steve Vai. The result is a genre-crossing collaboration designed to accompany one of the most-watched sporting events in the world.

J Balvin personally contributes an original verse, adding a Latin and global touch to the reinterpretation by including a Spanish-language section that conveys a message of unity and inclusivity, highlighting how sports and music can transcend language and cultural barriers to bring people together worldwide.

Alongside the song, the music video plays a central role in the project. Illustrated and directed by McFlyy, the video features the artists as protagonists and explicitly references the aesthetic of 1980s cartoons, capturing the colors, dynamism, and visual style of the era. Its style and theme recall and pay homage to Captain Tsubasa, the classic ’80s animated series that united children around the world through their love of soccer. The effect is a nostalgic glance at the past, evoking a sense of wistfulness tied to the imagery of that period.

At the same time, the video also looks forward. One of the most striking elements is a Coca-Cola can with an innovative triangular design, rather than the traditional cylindrical shape, suggesting a sense of futurism and innovation. This detail becomes a visual symbol of the project: the past and future meeting in the present.

In this balance between memory and imagination, “JUMP” aims to transform the energy of soccer and music into a universal language, capable of speaking to different generations in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup.
