ERRA’s new album ‘silence outlives the earth’ out now

ERRA

Metalcore powerhouses ERRA have released their seventh studio album, silence outlives the earth. The record, released March 6 via UNFD, is a showcase of the band at their best: with all the crushing breakdowns and liminal ambience that have defined not only ERRA’s sound but the sound of modern metalcore at large, the Birmingham-based quintet has never sounded more in tune with each other and their sonic identity.

Leading up to the album’s release, ERRA put out singles i. the many names of god,” “further eden,” and finally black cloud.” Listeners can immerse themselves in the personal, poignant narratives crafted by the complementing voices of Jesse Cash and J.T. Cavey. “When I wrote that song,” Cash says about ‘black cloud’, “I was thinking about the day my dad died, but I wasn’t writing about my dad dying, if that makes sense. It would be inaccurate to say that that song was written about my dad. It’s not, but that is the feeling that I was anchoring to while writing it.” With production by Daniel Braunstein, who has produced many of the past decade’s biggest metal albums, the members of ERRA brought their deepest feelings and most inspired moments to life on the record.

ERRA is currently embarking on a nationwide co-headlining tour with fellow metalcore band Currents; find tickets here, and stream or buy silence outlives the earth here.
