Sold-out debut headlining show at Red Rocks (on May 21st) plus coast-to-coast festival run this Spring/Summer.

March 13, 2026: flipturn, the indie-rock powerhouse, has returned with a new collection of reimagined works via Dualtone Records, titled Burnout Days (Reimagined). The project revisits all 12 songs on their 2025 sophomore album, Burnout Days, with each song featuring a special reimagining from their close musical circle, which includes past tourmates from across the globe, bands from the Florida music scene – their home-state -and individual members from the band themselves! “It is hands down the coolest flipturn project to date,” says Dillon Basse, lead singer of flipturn.
The reimagined album kicks off the start of another major year for flipturn! The band will make their Red Rocks headline debut with a sold-out show on May 21, as well as playing prime slots at festivals this spring/summer like Gov Ball, Bonnaroo, BottleRock, Kilby Block Party, Okeechobee, and more! Flipturn made their TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel last year and sat down to reflect on their journey as a band with ABC News Live’s Linsey Davis, how they went from playing in garage jams to playing some of the largest festivals, with “standing ovation worth” (Consequence) sets at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Newport Folk.

At the end of last year, flipturn started teasing this reimagined project with Australia’s Old Mervs, England’s Eleni Drake, and Nashville’s mercury. In February, flipturn dropped “Reason To Pretend (Teal Peel Version)” – a rework by Taylor Neal, who is flipturn’s front-of-house engineer and prediction manager. This reimagined track was also in collaboration with Madeline Jarman, flipturn’s bassist, who took the lead vocals for the first time ever! The album also features Odie Leigh, Winyah, Jack Van Cleaf, Rohna, lighthearted, The Brazen Youth, Susto, and Druzin, multi-instrumentalist for flipturn, Mitch Fountain’s, electronic music personal project.
“In an industry that’s really hard to find other people to relate to in your hometowns, you make lifelong friends with the people you meet on the road. We are so lucky and humbled to have had some of those friends help us make a reimagined version of our album ‘Burnout Days.’ We let each artist have complete creative freedom with each song, and we were continuously blown away with what they would send us. These are some of the most incredible and talented people in the world, and we can’t wait for you to hear what they made!!” says Basse.
“‘Window’ has been one of lighthearted’s favorites from ‘Burnout Days’ since the flipturn record first graced our ears,” says lighthearted’s Gracie and Eliza. “We wanted to keep the yearning present in the writing, while adding whimsy and wonder to the arrangement. This shift mainly comes through the instrumentation choices, specifically through the upbeat drum groove played by Ivan Garcia, and the dynamic chord changes added in the verses to help the song lean in a more playful direction. We played through “Window” a few times with producer Daniel Nelson and arranged new progressions with hooks that felt full of playfulness and curiosity, while holding true to the original somber longing of ‘Window.’”
This past weekend, flipturn hit the stage at Coca-Cola Sips & Sounds in Austin, Texas, kickstarting their spring festival run! They will play a returning set at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival – where they performed as contest winners in 2018, for the first time – Treefort, BeachLife, Kilby Block Party, BottleRock, Governors Ball, and Bonnaroo. Flipturn has some huge headlining shows this year, including an already sold-out show at Red Rocks (9,500+ capacity) and Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway (5,000 capacity).
