After stops in Seattle and Portland, redveil takes the stage at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco, for his “Sankofa Tour.” The last time the Maryland-native artist came to the Bay Area was around two to three years ago for his “Water 2 Fire Tour.” redveil’s stage design felt like a cozy room with a vinyl player behind him, and many warm lightbulbs lining the back of the stage.

redveil began his set by playing “time (a dream deferred),” the opening song from his latest album sankofa. He then jumps around his discography, performing “lone star” and “Soulfood.” Fans loved this portion of the setlist as the show was getting started and screamed the lyrics along to every song. Towards the end of the setlist, he went back to his hit album learn 2 swim, performing “pg baby,” “morphine (da ways),” and “sky,” combining around a staggering 60 million streams on Spotify.
