Trixie Mattel brings “Super Disco” to festival season 2026

If you thought Trixie Mattel had reached the final form of her DJ era, she has other plans.

Her new show, Super Disco, is set to take over this summer, with stops at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Lightning in a Bottle, Outside Lands, Osheaga, and Capitol Hill Block Party.

It builds on the world of Solid Pink Disco, but pushes it somewhere bigger, stranger, and a little more ambitious.

At its core, Super Disco is still about escape, but this time, there is a story running through it.

New tracks, remixes, bootlegs… While I still want to provide that sense of escapism, I’m spinning a narrative where love and humanity prevail over greed and automation,” Trixie says. “It’s higher stakes than anything I’ve done on the festival circuit before.”

The concept is simple. Trixie arrives on Earth to try and save it. What follows is part DJ set, part sci-fi fantasy, and part commentary, all held together by a lot of very danceable music.

The show pulls from classic sci-fi and pop culture but stays grounded in what Trixie actually loves to play.

“I’ve been consuming a lot of news, ‘Star Trek,’ ‘The Jetsons,’ rereading Watchmen, and old sci-fi, so I knew I wanted a space and aliens theme,” she says. “Musically, I’m leaning into what I love most: retro disco, funk, and funky house.”

Visually, the world splits in two. On one side, a character driven by greed, power, and control. On the other hand, Trixie comes from a bright, surreal planet built on connection and love.

It is not subtle, but it does not need to be.

Super Disco will appear at the following festivals:

Lightning in a Bottle — May 23, Buena Vista Lake, CA

Bonnaroo — June 13, Manchester, TN

Lollapalooza — July 30 to August 2, Chicago, IL (date to be announced)

Osheaga — August 2, Montreal, QC

Capitol Hill Block Party — August 7 to 9, Seattle, WA (date to be announced)

Outside Lands — August 8, San Francisco, CA

What started as a DJ project has grown into something much bigger. Trixie’s sets now pull crowds that are there for the music, the visuals, and the world she builds around them.

Super Disco feels like that idea pushed further. Bigger production, more original music, and a clearer point of view behind it.

It is disco. It is sci-fi. It is Trixie Mattel trying to save humanity.
