Dark Divine takes Deep Ellum

On March 26, 2026, I had the pleasure of making a trip down to the notorious downtown Dallas district of Deep Ellum to catch Orlando, Florida’s own Dark Divine perform their first-ever headline for “The Shallow Graves Tour” at Puzzles Deep Ellum. The first thing that automatically caught my attention at this event was the highly passionate fans, who all arrived at the venue face-painted and displayed high energy for Dark Divine‘s first headline in downtown Dallas, Texas. The most amazing thing that really would give this event an unforgettable experience is that all the fans coming to see this event are all deemed familiar faces in the local Dallas concert-goer community, and everyone had a great time catching up with friends through music and great vibes.

The first act to open up and get the energy going for the night was Dallas natives, From The Tides. The band consists of vocalist Rob Pate, guitarist Cory Maynard, bassist Alex Bailey, and drummer Noe Diaz. These guys are very enjoyable to catch live if you’re into bands like Currents, Polaris, and The Devil Wears Prada. The dudes from From The Tides are for sure no strangers when it comes to the metalcore scene in Dallas, TX. The main thing that I enjoyed from this set was the highly motivated and charismatic vocalist, Rob Pate. I can assure that if you hear From The Tides play tracks like “Haunting Me” and “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” I know for a fact Rob will tear up that stage with the effective stage presence we all love to see when we think of opener acts. If you ever have an opportunity to make a trip down to the Deep Ellum district, I would highly encourage you to take a moment and check any of the other venues in Deep Ellum and check the boys from From The Tides out, they’ll for sure not disappoint and bring that high charismatic energy we all enjoy when it comes to local bands.

The next group on set was Richmond, Virginia, Hypercore band Set For Tomorrow. The Virginia stack consists of the founder of the band on guitar/vocals, Mike Canoy, vocalist Eyker Cruz, bass/vocals Brendan McGlathery, drummer Sean Williams, and guitarist James Lovato. The cool thing about Set For Tomorrow that I find personally intriguing is their style of music. Hypercore is a genre that definitely makes you want to get up on your feet and continue to keep that momentum going. The various amounts of elements displayed in Set For Tomorrow’s music are so unimaginable in some aspects, especially with a lot of their tracks influenced by Hyperpop and Nightcore-based music. I highly enjoy bands that are heavy on synthesizers and anything that utilizes all the cool elements of music. The options from cool tracks like “Someone Lonely” and “Love Me Not” are prime examples to listen to if you ever are seeking to explore the new age in heavy music. The fun fact about Set For Tomorrow is that all their ideas are basically built from the ground up, especially with vocalist Eyker having a background in graphic design/digital art. So whenever you check out their merch designs and, of course, renders, you will fully be supporting true artistry when it comes to music.

The night still continued to strive to the fullest. One thing that a lot of fans of the vent were ecstatic to see on this tour run was Orlando’s own Not Enough Space. This rising group and, of course, the originators of “moancore” consist of dirty vocalist Liv Mitchell, clean vocalist Lizzie Kristina, guitarist Tristan Kaos, bassist Jacob Sawyer, and drummer Maurice Jones. If there is one thing I can safely say, Not Enough Space doesn’t play any games when it comes to their live performances.

The group started the night off with “Kill Eat Repeat,” which got the crowd fully exploding in a short duration of time. When I think of Liv and Lizzie, I automatically think of the Yin-Yang concept. When you take into consideration Liv’s heavy vocal range transitioning to Lizzie’s harmonious cleans, I personally feel the balance of both styles is what genuinely makes Not Enough Space special. When you listen to “Solace In Silence” from a live perspective, you can truly see Liv and Lizzie are that rising iconic duo and that their chemistry only will continue to surpass expectations for all Not Enough Space fans out there. My favorite highlight of the set was hearing “No Way Out” live for the first time. The song has been a genuine favorite of mine for years, and it was such a truly amazing experience to get to witness it on this tour run. The crowd was for sure going wild for Not Enough Space, and the huge MVP track for everyone was “Primitive”. Just being able to see fans singing along with the track and having an amazing time was truly such a special sight to see for any person who backs the “moancore” group. I highly encourage you to keep a lookout for Not Enough Space‘s future endeavors, because I know a headline tour will be calling their name soon, and this amazing roller-coaster is just the beginning.

The night is coming to a near end, and finally, we made it to Dark Divine! This horror-inspired stack from Orlando consists of vocalist Anthony Martinez, guitarist Robby Lynch, drummer Triston Blaize, and bassist Jarret Robinson. The band took to the stage and kicked the night off with their track “Halloweentown II: Welcome Home.” The crowd for sure understood the assignment when it came to a Dark Divine show, showing that high-pit energy and, of course, face paint. One thing I truly enjoyed was the sophisticated guitar skill from Robby and the high stage interaction from Jarret. These guys in Dark Divine definitely showed so much love and admiration to their fans, and these guys waste no time with it. Jarret was even in the middle of a performance and encouraged a fellow photographer who brought her son to the performance to have her take a picture of him and the young fan while the set was still going. The dedication and love show.

With experiencing Dark Divine for the time, I can genuinely say these guys for sure deserved and earned everything they got to get to the point they’re at today. The amount of respect and devotion to their fans, especially the younger generation, these guys are going to be soaring to amazing places, and I genuinely see nothing but bright things for Anthony Martinez and his fellow crew. If you ever have an opportunity to catch Dark Divine, I highly encourage you not to waste an opportunity with it, especially if you’re a parent and taking the kiddos to their first show. I guarantee these guys will deliver a high impact and continue to excel in their craft. I’m stoked to see what’s next for the Orlando horror boys.
