Upstate New York’s Fight From Within released a new single, “Let Me Out,” a track that feels less like a polished rollout and more like pressure finally breaking loose.
Produced by Pablo Viveros, the song leans into a mix of metalcore and hardcore weight without trying to overcomplicate it. The structure hits hard and moves fast, but there’s just enough variation to keep it from feeling one note. It’s aggressive, but not messy.
What gives the release a little more bite is what comes after it. Tucked behind the main track is a hidden song titled “TATT,” short for “Tired All The Time.” It’s not subtle, and it’s not supposed to be.
The band uses it as a direct response to the current state of the scene. Frustration, burnout, and a sense that too much of it has started to feel artificial. Instead of dressing that up, they just say it outright.
That approach carries through the rest of the release. There’s a slightly off-balance, almost disorienting edge to parts of “Let Me Out” that keeps it from settling into anything too predictable. It’s controlled, but it doesn’t feel comfortable.
Since forming in 2021, Fight From Within has been building momentum the straightforward way. Touring constantly, tightening their sound, and leaning into a live presence that feels as direct as their recordings. No gimmicks, no overthinking it.
This release fits right into that trajectory. Not a reinvention, not a reset. Just a sharper version of what they’ve already been doing, with a little more intention behind it.
With new tour dates lined up across the U.S. this spring, the band isn’t slowing down. If anything, “Let Me Out” feels like a signal that they’re just getting louder.
