girli rages out with fans in NYC!!

London’s very own feminist, iconic, and badass girli recently came stateside to host a fan meet-and-greet/listening event in New York City for her forthcoming album, it’s just my opinion, out May 8. She did it in a way that only she could, putting her very own twist on it — holding the event at a Manhattan rage room and breaking the living hell out of TVs, microwaves, bottles, and more with her fans! It was certainly a day to remember.

Paper Magazine recently spotlighted the event, sharing some photos of the evening, which really highlight the amazing atmosphere and energy of her new record. Although holding the event at a rage room is a unique and fun idea, it also symbolises being able to release the rage and frustration of being both female and queer in 2026.

The upcoming album is sharp, energetic, passionate, and rooted in who she’s always been. Growing up in North London, she absorbed the chaos and hooks of the indie sleaze scene, and now she channels that restless energy into her work: songs that feel alive, pulsing like a sweaty gig in Camden. Advanced single “Slap On The Wrist” is a perfect example of what can be expected from the record — an emotional outcry about everyday female safety and the rage that comes with being dismissed.

girli also recently announced a North American tour, kicking off in June. Tour dates HERE.
