Everyone’s A Star! live from Manchester

After three long years of waiting, 5 Seconds Of Summer (5SOS) have returned to the U.K. on their “Everyone’s A Star! World Tour.” On November 14, 2025, 5SOS released their sixth studio album EVERYONE’S A STAR!, which has a completely new style of music compared to earlier albums. The previous album, 5SOS5, has more of a personal and introspective feeling about it, while this album has much more of a party, easygoing energy, while still having a few deep cuts.

This tour feels like a brand-new era; the visuals on the big screen are personalised for each song with occasional lyrics incorporated into it all. The confetti is such a cute touch, especially the first set that was in the shape of stars and went off during the first song, “NOT OK.” The show was split into a couple of sections, giving time for each era of their music and adding in a short PowerPoint presentation that really engaged with the fans, sharing inside jokes and personalising them each night to the city they are playing in.

The show had a rocky start, with the first two songs unfortunately having sound issues. During the ending of “NOT OK,” the sound briefly cut out and was replayed a few seconds later; however, it only got worse for “No. 1 Obsession,” when the sound cut out fully for a few minutes and had to be restarted when the sound came back. Apart from these small hiccups at the start, the show went very smoothly afterwards, transitioning into some older, very iconic songs, before jumping right into the most hyped songs off the new album. The only song played from 5SOS5 was “Bad Omens,” a deep-cutting song that fans love, followed by the iconic “Ghost of You,” which always gets a heartwarming reaction from the crowd.

The next section was a really interesting one for me, as this is not something you see often; each member of the band performed one of their solo songs. “Starting Line” by Luke Hemmings, “Have U Found What Ur Looking For?” by Ashton Irwin, “Don’t Forget You Love Me” by Calum Hood, and “enough” by Michael Clifford.

The rest of the songs were “giving the people what they want,” playing their best songs from throughout the years, ending on “Jet Black Heart” and “She Looks So Perfect,” really hyping up the audience before leaving the stage. After a loud chant for an encore, the band emerged from a side door in the middle of the audience, walking through them, giving high fives while singing the first verse of “Everyone’s A Star!” into the camera, while they got to the stage, going full force into the chorus once everyone took their place on stage. They ended the show on “Youngblood” and said goodbye to the fans while the credits rolled on the screen. Look through the full setlist here.

The energy of this concert was absolutely through the roof – fans loved it and screamed nonstop during every single song. 5 Seconds Of Summer have such an incredible relationship with their fans, as they grew up alongside them as 5SOS formed while they were quite young, and the OG fans have stuck along all this time.

This was only the first leg of their world tour, currently touring around Europe before moving over to the U.S. and ending in Australia, where they are originally from. Tickets are still available for many dates all around the world. Check them out here.

I could not recommend this show enough, whether you are a casual listener, a diehard fan, or anything in between. The show as a whole is brilliant, the production, when working properly, is really cool to look at, and the songs are absolutely insane live during this new era.
