UK collective PRESIDENT have returned with their first release of 2026. The band has shared the striking new single “Angel Wings.” Alongside the track, the group has also released an accompanying video that expands on the cinematic atmosphere that has quickly become a signature of their sound.

Blending elements of alternative rock, industrial textures, and electronic programming, “Angel Wings” continues PRESIDENT’s exploration of emotionally charged heavy music that sits outside traditional genre boundaries. The track layers pulsing programmed beats with sweeping guitars and dramatic shifts in intensity, creating a dynamic push and pull between restraint and release.

According to the band, the song centers on renewal and personal reckoning. “Angel Wings reflects a search for spiritual redemption and the resolve to begin again,” the artist explains. “It marks the opening of a new chapter. At its core, the song speaks to holding close those who matter most, while remaining unmoved by detractors.”

The release marks several milestones for the group. “Angel Wings” is the first new PRESIDENT song of the year and also their first release through Atlantic Records. Since emerging in 2025, the band has deliberately operated with a sense of anonymity and minimalism, letting the music and atmosphere define the project rather than traditional branding.

That approach helped establish momentum for the band’s debut EP King of Terrors, released in late 2025. The record introduced PRESIDENT’s blend of heavy instrumentation, electronic experimentation, and cinematic mood. Rather than chasing trends, the collective has focused on building a deeper artistic identity that rewards patient listeners.

In a previous interview with Revolver, the band explained their philosophy toward the modern music industry, describing it as increasingly fast moving and disposable. PRESIDENT’s goal, they said, is to step outside that cycle and create something more immersive for listeners who choose to engage with it.

The new single arrives as PRESIDENT prepares to hit the road across North America supporting Bad Omens and Beartooth.
