Scotty McCreery brings high-energy show to Bloomington with Mackenzie Carpenter’s uplifting opening performance

This writer adventured to Bloomington, Illinois, to present to the Bloomington Center of Performing Arts to photograph Scotty McCreery. Parking at this venue location was simple. The hospitality from venue staff was remarkable and overall the venue was stunningly beautiful.

Upon the start of Mackenzie Carpenter entering to the stage she got the crowd excited with her powerful vocals, catchy tunes, and energetic band members. Mackenzie’s outfit was stunning. She gave a powerful message to the crowd between her songs. Mackenzie generated words of hope into the crowd by telling her testimony about her music journey. She left the audience with the overall message that you will get to when you are meant to be, but the journey takes time. Mackenzie announced that she’d meet with fans at her merchandise table after the show for autographs and pictures. A line of fans crowded Mackenzie’s table waiting their turn to meet her. Mackenzie spent time meeting every fan that presented to her booth.

As Scotty prepped to take the stage, fans mingled in the show room. Other fans grabbed their concessions and took last minute restroom breaks. Fans young and old were present to watch Scotty perform and all members of the crowd were dressed very modestly in the elegant venue.

As the lights dimmed fans scurried to their seats. The band members presented to the stage, lined shoulder to shoulder. In the background a count down set the mood for the audience to encourage excitement. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and Scotty runs out displaying high energy! Scotty grabbed his microphone and began the show singing “Can’t Pass The Bar.” Scotty went into performing “Little More Gone.” After performing those two songs with his powerful vocals and deep voice Scotty stopped to speak to his fans. Scotty asked the females in the crowed to think about what lines stand out to them the most while he sings the next song. Scotty eased into his hit “It Matters To Her” while images of his wife and him generated on the big screen in the background, the same screen that hosted the count down!

This writer proceeded to a private box where a top view of Scotty and the venue could be seen. As this writer had exceeded the three song limit for a photographer the show was enjoyed from the box. Scotty sang “Cab In A Solo.” Scotty grabbed a solo cup and raised it to the crowd thanking everyone. The show progressed and this writer had to depart from the venue. Scotty remained performing on stage and would sing :Love Like This,” “Fall Of Summer,” and more fan favorites. Scotty is a must see artist if you are a fan, or seeking new music to stream on Apple Music, Spotify and Pandora or all other streaming platforms!
