Young the Giant announces “In The Open 2025 Acoustic Tour”

Young the Giant is stripping things down for their next tour, and bringing fans along for the ride. The critically-acclaimed, multi-platinum band has just announced its “In The Open 2025 Acoustic Tour,” an intimate concert experience set in some of the country’s most beautiful and unexpected spaces.

The trek kicks off August 15 at Waikiki Shell in Honolulu with support from Cold War Kids, and wraps with a grand finale at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 7, where the band will be joined by Saint Motel. Rising artist Cassandra Coleman, whose Jack Antonoff-produced debut album Coming of Age released June 6, will support most dates on the tour.

In The Open has been our superpower as a band since we started playing music together,” Young the Giant shared in announcing the run. “There’s something so thrilling about reimagining our music in a way that’s more improvised, less controlled, and in a place you wouldn’t expect.”

The tour promises acoustic reinterpretations of fan favorites, deep cuts, and more in carefully chosen venues designed to foster connection between band and audience, even if they can’t literally perform “under a bridge or on a cliffside,” as the band joked.

Fans can also access the “In The Open VIP Soundcheck Experience,” which offers entry to the band’s pre-show soundcheck ritual, with unreleased songs, spontaneous stories, and more.

Tickets went on sale to the general public on Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Young the Giant will once again partner with REVERB on this tour to promote sustainability, support climate action, and help advance the nonprofit’s groundbreaking Music Decarbonization Project.

The In The Open run comes amid a busy stretch for the band. This summer, they’ll perform select dates with The Lumineers, play a run of festivals – including Summerfest, Whale Rock, and Pilgrimage – and head to Australia for a tour with Bloc Party. In September, the band will also mark the anniversaries of its self-titled debut and Mind Over Matter, with two special underplay performances at The Troubadour in Los Angeles.
