BLANK ERA Releases “Dead As Hell” and Debut EP “ROTTED”

On November 8th, 2024– One of my favorite female vocalist; Jaycee Clark released her debut EP “ROTTED” with the track “Dead As Hell” promoting her grudge-rock solo project BLANK ERA! Jaycee Clark has always been one of the sweetest and genuine musicians I had the pleasure of meeting a few years ago. And till this day she hasn’t lost that spark! I can’t put into words how proud I am of her for venturing out to become a solo artist. I know this EP is meant to express her freedom as well as rebel against her old self. This EP is what she needed to create to finally have self expression with no one holding her back. BLANK ERA is what we needed in 2024 because we love to see a female vocalist create a chaotic, confident, and unfiltered EP that showcases that it’s okay to grieve your old self, but at the same time to move on and become someone better.

“”DEAD AS HELLis an anthem for anyone who’s ready to sever ties after reaching their breaking point. It captures that moment of clarity when you realize that no matter how hard you’ve fought to keep something alive, sometimes the only way to save yourself is by accepting the loss and putting it to rest.” – BLANK ERA

ROTTED. is a blend of exhaustion and numbness that’s hard to shake. It’s feeling like everything that once brought you joy or hope is covered with a layer of grime from carrying the weight of too many hurts or disappointments. So in a way, ROTTED. is both my villain origin story and a love letter to my past. It’s about recognizing when it’s time to let go of who you used to be and choosing to walk away from the parts of you that are broken. I felt like I needed to create this EP as a way to work through all of the messy emotions and grief that come with shedding an old self in order to finally move forward.” – BLANK ERA
