Tennis, the husband-and-wife indie pop band, stopped by Washington, D.C., on June 3 to say farewell to their fans. The band, which formed in 2010, is checking off different venues across the United States to mark the end of their time as a band for the time being.

Billie Marten joined Tennis on stage for the opening act. With an acoustic set, fans were stunned with the intimate and beautiful performance. The British singer-songwriter connected with the fans throughout the night, bringing a lot of enthusiasm for the show.

Finally, Tennis hit the stage. Opening with “I’ll Haunt You,” the crowd was going wild to see the pair at The Anthem. Between songs, Tennis spoke directly to fans. They explained how much they love D.C., and how grateful they were to end their time together at a venue like The Anthem. By far, the best song of the night was “Need Your Love.” The pair played this song right before the encore, and one could see every fan in the audience singing along.

After a triumphant 15 years together, it is safe to say that D.C. fans were pleased with the performance from Tennis. Catch them before it is too late! This was only the 13th show on this leg of the tour – find Tennis in a venue near you below!
