According to Belly Up Aspen’s Danny Goldberg, the idea for Up In The Sky has been in development for nearly a decade.
“Aspen is home, and we are honored and humbled to have the opportunity to build something new in such a special place with incredible artists,” Goldberg shared in a press release. “Our goal is to deliver an unforgettable experience.”
Set against the dramatic backdrop of Buttermilk Mountain, known more traditionally for winter sports, the festival hopes to become a new summer tradition by uniting indie, pop, electronic, and alternative genres across two scenic days.
Tickets went on sale February 27 via www.upintheskyfestival.com, with several options available, including 1- and 2-Day GA, 2-Day VIP, and Cabin Tickets.
VIP packages offer enhanced viewing areas, exclusive bars, and amenities designed to elevate the festival experience. The Cabin Tickets – an ultra premium tier – are expected to deliver luxury mountain accommodations and perks curated for a high-end crowd.
In true Aspen fashion, Up In The Sky aims to go beyond the traditional festival template. While full details on food, art, and local vendor offerings are still forthcoming, attendees can expect Aspen’s renowned food scene and mountain hospitality to be an integral part of the event.
With artists like Glass Animals, SG Lewis, and Suki Waterhouse joining festival-circuit favorites like Model Model and Nessa Barrett, the inaugural Up In The Sky Festival is already positioning itself as one of the most anticipated new festivals of 2025.
