Ohio-based alt/psych-pop artists Radderall and Muzzy Fossa have recently announced their collaborative album, The Club Is Open, set for a October 31 release. Wax Mage Records is the main distributor, with the installment being available to pre-save now. Together with the new album collaboration, the duo has released two new singles, the double A-sides and music video “Movies” / “Every Minute,” available to stream now.
Radderall will be kicking off their Midwest and East Coast November series of dates in Columbus at the Bee Collective. With the upcoming collaboration, Radderall will transport audiences to their dreamy, synth-heavy sound that blurs the line between irony and wholeheartedness.
The Club Is Open is a voyage created around the narrative of duality, and the seeking of the fictitious location The Club. It follows two characters traversing the conflict of seeking a short-term fix of dopamine, getting involved in momentary romance, and vainness to feed their ego, rather than seeking so. The duo have cleverly used the abbreviation of R.A.M. (Radderall & Muzzy Fossa), with their album following the storyline of determination and development, also with the theme of revival, adaptation, and the ability to build yourself back up after being knocked down.
“Movies” follows the album’s protaganists as they enter the club– they discover warmth, delight, and infinite potential. On the influences behind the track, Taneyhill shares, “The intro was inspired by MCR and that alternative chug heard in alternative/emo from the 2000s/2010s.. and the glam rock/blue-eyed soul circa Hall & Oates. For the outro, we slowed it down to half speed to get that drop feel, and we were pulling from the bridge of The Eagles’ “I Can’t Tell You Why” for the arrangement of that section.”

Radderall (Zach Taneyhill) and Muzzy Fossa (Nathan Hunt)’s projects have a sense of an immersive story that would play out on stage, but still have that raw and realistic element, combining analog allure, R&B groove influences, psych-pop reciting, and timeless synth attributes, creating an uncanny, dreamlike, and emotional soundscape. Taneyhill offers an insight into the album, stating it is “a world unto itself—a place we built so we could get lost and maybe find a little meaning in the process.”
The latest music video installment is part of a three-part collection, with the trilogy “Baseball”, “Movies”, and “Planted” playing out like a short film when watched altogether. In relation to the series of visuals, Taneyhill describes, “We walk through the club doors and transform into mimes, embodying our ego-driven selves as we silently act out the fantasy. The movies seem to always show this unattainable or unrealistic version of what life is or could be. They really skew your perception of what happiness is supposed to mean. The video represents that for us. Was the chase for this club worth the destination? Or is it just like the movies?”

Singles “Movies” and “Every Minute” are out now. The third and fourth releases from their upcoming collaborative album The Club Is Open, offer a peek into an odd, theatrical world built on vintage elements and lo-fi curiosity.
This collaboration comes with no shortage of inquisitiveness, friendship, and experimentation; the pair are ready to share with listeners worldwide their records of authenticity, development, and self-discovery through their love of drum programming, classic synths, and analog elements.
