Lambrini Girls’ fierce energy and provocative lyrics at Ancienne Belgique

Fierce energy, provocative lyrics, and a safe space for the queer community, that’s what Lambrini Girls brought to Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on December 8. The punk duo from Brighton, coincidentally – or not – the queer capital of the U.K., turned a rainy Monday night into an evening of crowd surfing, moshing, and collective anger channeling.

After an explosive warm-up from Enola Gay, Phoebe and Selin took the stage and immediately had the crowd wrapped around their fingers. The mosh pits started instantly, and multiple fans were lifted into the air and crowd-surfed their way to the front of the venue repeatedly. As the night went on, Lambrini Girls kept whipping out surprise after surprise. In between songs, they interacted with fans, danced with them in the pit, and they took their time to speak on important political issues like the genocide in Palestine. Phoebe even climbed up the venue’s balcony to leap back onto a sea of hands waiting to catch her.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable night filled with high-energy songs, dancing, and moshing until your feet hurt, Lambrini Girls’ concert is the place to be.
