ALTER BRIDGE are getting ready to release their eighth self-titled studio album in just two days. Before the album arrives, the band has shared one final song called “Scales Are Falling.”
The song is a powerful rock track from the four band members: Myles Kennedy (vocals and guitar), Mark Tremonti (guitar and vocals), Brian Marshall (bass), and Scott Phillips (drums).
“Scales Are Falling” is about realizing the truth after being lied to. It focuses on that moment when everything becomes clear, even if the truth is painful. Myles Kennedy explained that the song is about seeing a situation for what it really is after being deceived, and how hard that realization can be.
The song is now available on all major digital music platforms. A visualizer for the track was also released and was created by Marcin Pospiech, who has worked with bands like Nine Inch Nails and Tool.
Mark Tremonti shared his thoughts on the song, saying he was excited about it because of its emotional feel. He described it as having many changes in mood and sound, with him playing a solo in the middle and Kennedy finishing the song on guitar.
ALTER BRIDGE’s new album will be released on January 9, 2026, through Napalm Records. The album, including 12 new songs, shows the band continuing to grow while staying true to their sound. Tracks like “Rue the Day,” “Disregarded,” and “What Are You Waiting For” stand out as strong additions to their music catalog.
The album’s first single, “Silent Divide,” has already gained millions of views on YouTube and is doing well on rock radio. The album was produced by longtime collaborator Michael “Elvis” Baskette and recorded in California and Florida.
Along with the album release, ALTER BRIDGE will go on tour in Europe and the United States in 2026. The European tour begins in January and ends in March, while the U.S. tour starts in April and runs through May. Special guests will join the band on select dates.
Formed in 2004, ALTER BRIDGE have spent more than 20 years as one of the most respected hard rock bands in the world. Known for their strong guitar work, emotional lyrics, and energetic live shows, the band continues to build on their legacy with each new release.
