EVERBLOOM introduces their sound with emotionally charged debut single

The Day We Said Goodbye” (Reggie) arrives January 8.

Rochester, New York, melodic hardcore newcomers EVERBLOOM step into the spotlight with their debut single, The Day We Said Goodbye” (Reggie), releasing Thursday, January 8. The track marks the beginning of a new chapter for the band—one rooted in vulnerability, emotional honesty, and dynamic intensity.

At the heart of the song is a deeply personal experience. Vocalist Austin Eannace-Caro wrote the track as a response to the loss of a beloved companion, channeling grief into a cathartic expression that resonates far beyond its origin.

Our dog passed away last year, for almost ten years she was my world,” Eannace-Caro shares. “I got to spend so much time with her and it was still not enough. It’s hard to put into words the grief and loss that I felt when we said goodbye, this song helped me explore those feelings.

Rather than offering closure, the song acknowledges grief as something that lingers, while still allowing space for healing.

The pain never goes away but this song has helped me move forward in the grieving process,” he adds. “I hope others who’ve lost a loved one can relate and find comfort in it.

Musically, “The Day We Said Goodbye” (Reggie) balances raw emotional weight with melodic hardcore urgency, aligning EVERBLOOM with artists such as Defeater, Casey, Being As An Ocean, Counterparts, Silent Planet, Static Dress, and Underoath. The track moves fluidly between intensity and restraint, allowing its emotional core to remain front and center.

Formed in the summer of 2025, EVERBLOOM features members of progressive metalcore band Aphasia. Drawing from emo lyricism, dissonant progressive-metalcore textures, and the unfiltered energy of melodic hardcore, the band crafts a sound that feels both intricate and immediate. Their songwriting explores themes of addiction, mental health, isolation, relational turmoil, and the ongoing struggle to overcome personal darkness.

More than a new project, EVERBLOOM positions themselves as a cathartic outlet—one forged through vulnerability and delivered with unrelenting intensity. With “The Day We Said Goodbye” (Reggie), the band lays a powerful foundation for what lies ahead.
