The perfect ’90s music experience in Central Park

Blues Travelers, Gin Blossoms, Spin Doctors live in Central Park

Calling all ‘90s music fans! Get excited to relive the magic of a decade that brought us unforgettable anthems that still have us singing along. On Saturday, August 15, the Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage in Central Park will be the place to be as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic venue. What better way to honor this legacy than with a lineup featuring ’90s rock legends Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, and Spin Doctors

Blues Traveler, known for their hits, will take center stage. With tracks like “Hook,” “But Anyway,” and “Run-Around,” this Jersey-based band captured the hearts of fans and earned numerous GRAMMY nominations throughout their career. Enjoy the experience of John’s signature harmonica and that iconic sound you love so much.

Co-headlining the event is the Gin Blossoms, whose melodies bring in a wave of ‘90s alternative rock that still resonates today. With hits like “Hey Jealousy” and “Til I Hear It From You” featured in memorable movies — Empire Records being my favorite — this band is sure to have you reliving memories and encourage sing-alongs throughout the crowd. Their lyrics and tambourine make them a perfect complement to Blues Traveler, as they both have the spirit of the ‘90s music scene.

Opening day, the night will include another Jersey-based band, the Spin Doctors, rock royalty known for their hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong.” The meaning of “Little Miss” is not what you think, my friends, so if you have the pleasure of meeting the lead singer, Chris Barron, please make sure you ask him about it! Their performance will be energetic, filled with high kicks and some impressive moves on stage! The whole band has a rock sound mixed with some jazz that you do not want to miss out on!

Make sure to follow all three nostalgic bands on all social media platforms, and get your tickets now! This tour will be one for the books!
