Raw, edgy, energetic, and stylish. This is the new up-and-coming teen metal band Chained Saint. This former garage band, established in 2022, is reaching new heights. Chained Saint is comprised of Ethan Kahn on guitar, Sebastian De Avila on bass, Cameron Cottrell on drums, and Sean Sterling on vocals. With the release of their first album, Blindside, the band gained the attention of many rockers craving a new wave of electrifying thrash metal sound. Now, this metal band is expanding its brand through personal expression that extends past the world of music into the world of fashion.

Similar to music, fashion is widely recognized as a powerful form of personal expression. It is used to show off creativity and individuality while still being highly unique to the individual. Nothing feels more empowering than throwing on a fresh outfit. Fashion, like music, helps to embody confidence. With the rise of cybersigilism, a tattoo-inspired visual design aesthetic, streetwear has regained widespread popularity, and many brands have been quick to jump on the graphic trend. Affliction Clothing, however, a longstanding brand established in 2005, is no newcomer to the streetwear scene.

Affliction Clothing

Affliction is “inspired by those who embrace struggle and endure pain to achieve greatness,” with their main sources of inspiration coming from tattoo art, motorcycle subculture, mixed martial arts, and good old-fashioned rock and roll. Due to this rugged, graphic-heavy look, the brand is worn by rockers and musicians alike and is known for its limited collaborative collections. Affliction Clothing’s mission is to be “a force that fuels those who push limits, disrupt the ordinary, and refuse to be ignored.” Music and fashion create a space where you can be unapologetically yourself. Through their raw, edgy, organic riffery, Chained Saint has rapidly gained rockers’ attention and now has landed their first clothing collaboration.

Kicking off the Chained Saint x Affliction clothing collaboration, the band performed a free show featuring special guest Bastardane on Friday, January 23, in Seal Beach, California. They electrified the crowd while sporting their new collaborative line, showing rockers how music and fashion can collide to elevate both artists’ and fans’ experience. This show was the second of a three-show run in Los Angeles, which also included opening for Metal Allegiance on January 22 at House of Blues in Anaheim, and a show at The Whisky on January 24.
