Feb. 4, 2025 – Mat Kerekes began his 10 years of “Luna and the Wild Blue Everything” tour in Detroit, which couldn’t have been a more perfect show. Detroit showed out, and it was clear that this album meant the world to so many people in the room.
Being able to see Kerekes’ solo work live was incredible. The show felt very intimate, like everyone in the room shared a connection with the album being played. The crowd sang every word to the entire album. Kerekes played the entirety of Luna and the Wild Blue Everything.
The show opened with Beeson, an indie pop artist, who played a beautiful set. Next up was Shallow Alcove, and their performance was incredible. Both openers set the scene for an amazing night.
