The Japanese pop phenomenon Ado is back with her latest release, “AiAiA,” along with an accompanying performance on the popular YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE.” The mysterious singer, who does not show her face and only showcases her versatile voice, continues to grow from her origins as an internet cover singer to now an internationally acclaimed powerhouse star. Just before her 18th birthday in 2020, Ado released the now monumental single “Usseewa” as her debut on a major record label. Now, after the 5th anniversary of the release of “Usseewa,” Ado is accompanied by Phantom Siita, a Japanese idol group that she produces, as her backing vocalists in “THE FIRST TAKE” “AiAiA” performance.
She’s not just an internet sensation — Ado has set a record for the largest-scale world tour by a Japanese artist from her 2025 “Hibana World Tour” spanning Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America, drawing approximately 500,000 fans worldwide. Her momentum hasn’t stopped as she’s been announced on this year’s Lollapalooza lineup and will be headlining Zipangu, the debut of a major new Japanese music event at the Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles presented by Goldenvoice and Cloud Nine.
